Our next Club night will be on Wednesday 1st of February, when the spotlight half hour will feature “Whistling Dixie” otherwise known as regulars Georgina Lawes and Mark Wallace. Featuring banjo, fiddle and guitar with great harmonies, they produce old-time and bluegrass music fit to get you dancing and bring a smile to your face! Performers are welcome so get in touch if you’d like a floorspot.
Where: Roosters Brewery Taproom, Fifth Avenue, Hornbeam Park, Harrogate, HG2 8QT. There is ample parking and the brewery is a short walk from Hornbeam Park train station, which is served by trains connecting Harrogate to Leeds and Knaresborough and York.
When: Every first Wednesday of the month. Club Nights are held upstairs at Roosters, 7;00 for a 7:30pm start, Admission £3 . The evening is MC’d by Tom, and whether you like to perform or prefer to listen we look forward to seeing you. There are plenty of great sessions or open mics in the local area, but a folk club offers something that bit different, a folk. roots and acoustic performance venue with an appreciative listening audience..
Warning: There WILL be a raffle……all folk clubs have raffles…… and the star prize is a tin of mushy peas!
